Kelly Bell - Owner/Instructor
Simply Sewing with Kelly studio is an interactive environment that offers skill building sewing classes for eager sewers ages 7 to adult. Parents are amazed to see what their children can achieve in just a few classes. Students learn to safely operate a sewing machine by creating their very first project, a simple drawstring bag. Once students have completed this project they are hooked on sewing and begin to realize the limitless possibilities of making their own creations. A student who creates a hand made gift realizes a sense of pride and gains confidence.
All classes are taught by a fashion designer who has worked in the clothing industry for over 28 years. For over 10 years Kelly has been teaching expert sewing skills to her many sewing students. Whether new to sewing or you want to sharpen your skills the small classes provide personal quality instruction.
The list of Kelly's students who are continuing on in fashion related programs at Ryerson University and Seneca College Fashion Programme is growing every year.
Kelly is a graduate of fashion design and has worked as a professional in the textile field for over 25 years. Kelly is best known locally as the owner and teacher at Simply Sewing with Kelly. She has worked in tailoring, clothing manufacturing and home décor. During the past 10 years Kelly has enjoyed great success passing on her creative skills to her eager sewing students in Waterdown. As a result, the list of students that have gone on to pursue a university or college level fashion or fashion marketing degree keeps growing.
There is nothing that I didn't love about Kelly's classes. Being a simply sewing student I knew that I could learn anything I wanted too and that I had the best teacher and mentor to best prepare me for my Ryerson career.
Simply, Kelly gives you sewing and creative confidence.

Summer camp students had fun learning from one of Kelly’s former students. Ali spent a summer assisting Kelly with all of the summer sewing camps. Ali was also a member of the Simply Sewing with Kelly Hamilton 24 first place winning fashion design team.
Avery is a familiar face to the students as she took sewing lessons from Kelly and completed her degree at Seneca in the fashion Business program. Avery was also a winner in the Hamilton 24 Fashion Design competition representing Simply Sewing with Kelly studio.
Rachel is the current student teacher at the studio. She enjoys sharing her talents with the Summer camp students and PA day students when she is able. Rachel is back again this summer to the delight of all the kids who were in summer camp last year.
